I am starting a Go Fund Me to help pay for final expenses and bills for my sister Susan Kay Whisler. The Lord ended her suffering from cancer and took her to Heaven on January 15th, 2026 at 59 years old. She was in the hospital over the last few weeks when she passed with her husband Mickey Sr., daughter Cassandra, sons Mickey Jr., Danny, and Aaron, along with all of their spouses, her grandchildren, myself and her brother Rick by her side. My sister and her husband Mickey have dealt with more than their share of tragedy especially in this past year. Mickey is diabetic and many of you know he had a foot injury at the beginning of last year that resulted in several surgeries, multiple months of physical therapy and hospitalizations which ended in the amputation of part of his foot. Unable to work, they have struggled to pay their bills over the past year. Mickey was finally able to return to work as a truck driver in November 2025 and started a new job. My sister Susan was declared to be in 5 year remission on October 1st, 2025 after winning her first battle with lung cancer. Their lives finally seemed to be heading back in the right direction. Two months later, right after Thanksgiving, she found a lump under her arm and was subsequently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma. It was extremely aggressive and had spread throughout her body. Mickey Sr. was then fired by his new job over the phone while he sat at his wife's side at the hospital, after 14 days of not being able to return to work. Susan was never discharged from the hospital before passing away. I am asking for prayers of comfort and strength for her husband Mickey Sr., her children and grandchildren.
