On October 23, 2025, our beloved Susana Martínez, age 62, experienced a sudden brain hemorrhage that changed her life in an instant. Before her stroke, Susana was a fiercely independent woman who worked, managed her own errands, and enjoyed her daily routines. Now, she faces significant challenges, including limited mobility on her right side and a speech impairment.

As her daughter and caregiver, I have witnessed her strength and determination every day. Unfortunately, Susana is no longer able to work and has lost her previous insurance coverage. We have applied for disability, but the approval process can take six months to a year—time she simply does not have. The critical window for her recovery is now, and she urgently needs ongoing rehabilitation to regain her mobility, as well as daily medical supplies and essential items that are currently out of reach financially.
