UPDATE: I am very sad to report that Susan passed away this weekend, surrounded by family. She leaves a huge hole in our lives and in our hearts.

My name is Diane (Truppi) Glim, and my daughter, Melissa Glim and I are asking for your help for my best friend of 70 years, Susan (Preston) Xenarios.

You may not be aware that Susan is fighting a terrible cancer and is at home in hospice care. Elena, Susan’s daughter, is her sole caregiver, having moved in to take care of her mother. Now she is in need of round-the-clock care. They cannot cover this care as it is extremely expensive and not covered by any insurance.

As you may know, Susan has spent her entire life helping others. Working at St. Lukes hospital, in a program that she began years ago, Susan has provided counseling as a therapist and social worker to victims of violent crime, victims of rape, abuse, and domestic violence. She has helped and likely saved the lives of 100s of survivors.

Now Susan needs our help. Please help by donating to this cause so that Susan can get the care she needs. All money will be used by the family to provide care and other needs associated with this terrible illness.
