It is with incredible sadness that Customs United Service Alliance seeks your support for the family of one of our own, Supervisory Customs and Border Protection Officer Robert Banas. Robert passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, just three months shy of his 41st birthday. Our hearts go out to Robert’s daughter and the rest of his family during this very difficult time.
Robert began his career with CBP in 2007 as an officer at the Port of John F. Kennedy International Airport. He was promoted to supervisor in 2015 and transferred to the Port of New York/Newark in 2016. Robert was an incredibly knowledgeable and talented officer, a great colleague, and an amazing friend to those who worked with him. He will be missed dearly by all who had the opportunity to know him.
While we cannot bring our brother back, we hope that the money raised by this fundraising effort will help alleviate any financial burden the family encounters moving forward.
Please keep Robert’s daughter, the rest of his family, his friends, and his co-workers in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Customs United Service Alliance is a 503(c) charitable organization that supports the dedicated men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Port of New York/Newark.
