Hi, Our family has created this fundraiser for Daniel Ray Rankin "Super Dan", On behalf of our family, friends and all Super Dans Fans!

This fellow made his surprise appearance early at 25 weeks, born on April 5th 2022 at 12:59 PM, weighing 1 lb 6 oz.

It has been an agonizing 5 months for this new little family, with many ups and downs.

Many of you have followed their story, and have shared in a small portion of what he and his parents have gone through.

The constant worrying, the triumphs and smiles, the good days and the bad-to say it’s complicated would be an understatement.

We have all made a special place in our hearts for Daniel. We think of him daily, and wish his little body well with our healing thoughts and prayers.

We are here now because the Good Lord calls us to sit patiently awaiting word that our Little Super Dan is on the mend.

Daniel has already been through three surgeries. One of which was a tracheostomy to eventually get him breathing on his own, but his road to recovery doesn't end at leaving the hospital. Once home, Daniel will need both home based and portable ventilators, a suction aspirator machine for his trach, a feeding pump for continuous feeding (gastrostomy tube) and other supplies such as catheters, replacement trach fittings, suction tips, etc.

Beyond medical supplies and equipment, there is a lot of strain on both mom and dad missing work over the past 5 months and into the near future with all of the extra care Daniel will need to recover and grow.

It is our hope that you might find it within your hearts to help this new young family make up for so much already sacrificed, to be there for an incredible baby boy that we all love so dearly.

We know they may have challenges that will still need to be addressed, but we want them to be as prepared as possible for the changes to their home life. We want to ease the burden of bills, and for them to have the ability to access necessities so that Daniel can be safe and happy at home with his Mommy and Daddy.
