Summer Bishop is my cousin, and right now her family is facing an unimaginable crisis. On Thursday, February 26th, 2026, her husband—the main provider for their blended family of six children—was struck by a car at his job site. He is currently in critical condition, and the days ahead are filled with uncertainty and worry for everyone who loves him.

Summer is a devoted stay-at-home mom, and her husband’s income is what keeps their household running. With him unable to work, they are suddenly facing a mountain of expenses. Summer is driving over an hour each way to Atlanta to be by his side in the hospital, and the costs of gas, food, and groceries are quickly adding up. On top of that, there are utilities and other bills that need to be paid to keep things stable for their children during this difficult time.
