Anyone who knows Bob Ford knows how much he loves his best friend, Stormer. Stormer is the goodest boy, and loves car rides, treats, adventures, and snuggling.

A few months ago, Stormer started exhibiting an abnormal gait and pain. He was first diagnosed with pancreatitis. He endured numerous emergency vet visits, hospital stays, and rounds of medication. He was then diagnosed with extensive muscle and tissue inflammation in his leg, and stayed more nights in the hospital before being sent home with more medication. At that point, Bob had spent about $17k in medical bills for his best friend.

Stormer seemed to be doing well and was back to his happy, playful self until recently when he started limping and yelping in pain when being picked up. The vet urged Bob to get him to UPenn, where the doctors admitted him to the veterinary hospital and ran a bunch of tests, including an ultrasound and MRI. They have determined it is a rotator cuff issue due to arthritis and are hoping to release him with steroids to take at home.

As you can imagine, the care little Stormer has received over the past 4 months has really added up, and is well into the 5 figures. And to give him the best quality of life moving forward, he will need laser treatment, physical therapy and follow up veterinary care.
