My name is Diane Martin, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult moments our family has ever faced. My husband, Steve, was recently and unexpectedly hospitalized after going into acute liver and kidney failure. What began as a normal day quickly turned into a medical emergency, and our lives were changed in an instant. He is currently receiving intensive medical care, and while we are grateful for the doctors and nurses working tirelessly to help him, the road ahead is uncertain and overwhelming.

Steve has selflessly spent most of his life in the service of others, from serving in the Army to serving the community as a police officer. We are now calling on others to help our veteran and retired officer.

As we focus on his recovery, we are facing mounting bills and time away from work. The financial burden, combined with the emotional stress of this situation, has been more than we can manage alone.
