For 12 years, my husband Steve has been fighting metastatic colorectal cancer. He has endured numerous surgeries, rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Recently, Steve developed a blockage in his bowels, and the doctors have told us that surgery is not an option for him anymore. This news has been devastating for both of us, and we are now facing the most difficult chapter of his journey.
Throughout his battle, Steve has shown incredible compassion and courage. Even while dealing with his own pain, he has reached out to others at the cancer institute, sharing his story and giving hope to fellow patients. I have seen him make people laugh—patients, nurses, and caregivers alike. One of the most touching moments was when someone told him he made her laugh for the first time since her diagnosis. Steve has proven that while cancer can take so much, it cannot take away compassion, humor, or love.
The funds raised will help us cover expenses and allow me to stay home to care for Steve during this time. He has spent his life helping others, and now I am asking for your help to support him in his time of need. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you for your kindness and support.
