In Loving Memory of Steve Sanchez: Supporting His Children in Their Time of Loss

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved friend, Steve Sanchez, into God's glory on May 17, 2024. Steve was only 59 years old. Steve was a cherished member of our community, known for his kindness, generosity, hospitality, and infectious smile. His sudden and unexpected passing has left his two children, Christian (24) and Emily (20), reeling and desperately trying to manage their father's affairs. Steve's sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him that can never be filled.

Unfortunately, this tragedy is all too familiar to Christian and Emily, who lost their mother suddenly just seven short years ago. The loss of one parent is unimaginable at such a young age, but to lose them both is genuinely heartbreaking. We are comforted to know that they are reunited together in eternity. In light of their immense loss, many of us want to help ease the many financial burdens now placed on his still very young adult children during this tragic time.

Steve's passing comes at the end of over four weeks spent in intensive care in the hospital. His emergency care is extremely costly, as well as funeral, legal, and unexpected expenses. As we mourn the loss of Steve, we also recognize the financial strain his passing has placed on his family. Funeral expenses and the costs associated with tying up loose ends can be overwhelming during this already difficult time.

In honor of Steve's memory and in support of his grieving family, we have created this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will go directly towards helping his family cover the expenses associated with his medical expenses, funeral, and estate management. As well as any other financial burdens they may face in the wake of his passing.

Steve touched the lives of so many with his warmth and compassion. Those who knew him knew how much he loved Christian and Emily. They were his absolute pride and joy. It's our turn to rally together and support his children as they navigate this unimaginable loss. No matter the amount, every donation will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated.
