Personal Statement – Request for Assistance
My wife is only sixty years old. Tragically, she has developed Frontal Temporal Dementia (FTD) — the same devastating neurological disease that Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with.
While we were conducting business in Dubai, her condition took a severe and unexpected turn for the worse. She is now unable to travel back to New York City. Her illness has progressed rapidly: she can barely walk, she can hardly speak, and she is completely incontinent.
She requires total, around-the-clock care — including feeding, changing, bathing, and daily hygiene. To ensure her safety and dignity, I must employ at least two caregivers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We have no medical insurance in Dubai, and I haven't been able to work because my full attention is devoted to coordinating her care and helping her through each day. The financial and emotional strain has become overwhelming, and the expenses continue to rise far beyond what I can manage alone.
I am now reaching out to others for help — to anyone with the compassion and ability to assist us during this profoundly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the amount, directly supports her essential medical and caregiving needs, allowing her to remain safe and comforted despite this terrible disease.
Thank you for your understanding, kindness, and generosity.
With sincere gratitude,
Dr. Steven Victor
