On the morning of February 28, 21-year-old Steven Alcaraz was killed in Newport Beach in a terrible accident on his birthday. Steven should be celebrating right now. Instead, his family and friends are facing the unimaginable loss of someone they love so deeply. A day that was supposed to be filled with happiness and celebration has turned into heartbreak.
Steven was the kindest, most hardworking, and selfless person. He was someone’s son, and a friend to so many. Right now, his family is grieving a loss no family is ever prepared for. Along with that grief comes the sudden responsibility of funeral and memorial expenses, things no one should have to worry about while trying to process such a devastating moment.
This fundraiser was created to help support Steven’s family during this incredibly difficult time and to take away at least some of the financial stress so they can focus on healing and honoring his life. Lorenzo Cervantes Aguilar, Steven’s brother, will receive the funds on behalf of the family. If you knew Steven, you know how much he meant to the people around him. If you didn’t know him, please consider helping anyway—because no family should have to go through something like this alone. Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, truly makes a difference. Thank you for keeping Steven and his family in your thoughts and for helping us come together as a community during such a heartbreaking time.
