With permission from Steve Swain, I want to share his story. Steve has always been a hardworking, caring man who would do anything for anyone in need. If you needed help, Steve was there—no questions asked. Now, he’s the one who needs help. Steve has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and this diagnosis has turned his and his family’s world upside down. Because of his illness, Steve is no longer able to work or provide for his family. Between frequent doctor visits 2–3 times a week, treatments, gas, medical expenses, and daily living needs, the financial burden has become overwhelming. This fundraiser is to help ease that burden—covering gas for travel back and forth to doctors, household bills, and everyday necessities for Steve and his family during this incredibly difficult time. No one should have to fight cancer while worrying about how to keep the lights on or food on the table. Steve has spent his life giving, helping, and showing love and support to everyone around him.
