Support for Steve Roberts aka I’m Alright!

Support for Steve Roberts aka I’m Alright!

Hello, we as a family are wanting to raise money for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall hospice Peterborough in recognition of the support and care they give people suffering.

Back in late 2018 Steve was losing weight rapidly, along with a number of other symptoms this prompted a visit to the GP. After numerous tests in March 2019 Steve was given the devastating diagnosis of Grade 4 (terminal) stomach cancer.

Steve has since been fighting every day with the side effects that come with treatment of chemotherapy. Steve is currently on his second round of chemotherapy due to the cancer spreading during lockdown.

Steve from diagnosis to date has been incredibly strong, positive, inspirational and the normal cheeky chappie that we all know, love and adore. When ever Steve has been asked “How are you feeling?” Steve’s response is always “I’m alright?! Why wouldn’t I be!”

Unfortunately, the side effects of the second round of chemotherapy has meant Steve has lost yet more weight and is now losing his hair.

Lee Roberts, Jake Fensome and Jamie Spires are shaving their heads in support and in the hopes of raising money for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall. Anybody else is very welcome to join in shaving their heads and help raise money and show Steve your support and love!

I would like to thank you all now in advance for your support and Love during our struggles with this devastating disease. Lets all show Steve how much we love him!!

With much Love Carly and Lee
