Support for Steve Ohara & daughter Jessica’s Loss

If you have met Lori O’Hara, you are one of the luckiest people on earth. She is the kindest, most loving, caring person you’ll ever meet. She is genuine in all she does. Lori loves life as a wife and mother, and she is a friend to whomever crosses her path.

Lori taught Nordic Cross Country Skiing at Soldier Hollow Olympic Park for 12 years. She loved teaching kids one of her passions (cross country skiing), and the kids loved her. She worked at some of the best restaurants: River Horse Cafe, Grub Steakhouse, Snake Creek Grill, and Red Ledges, where she made every guest feel at home. She and her husband Steve owned and operated a landscaping business, JSL Landscape, as well as her most valued role of being a loving mother to their daughter Jessica. Lori loved the simple life and enjoyed her date nights with Steve, eating great food and listening to great music. She loved her beautiful family and every moment spent with them.

In the fall of 2023, Lori was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia at the age of 58. Her health and the things she once was able to do and enjoy seemed to slip out of her grasp. It became hard for her to do the simple everyday things: walking, talking, smiling. Lori’s husband Steve has been by her side each and every day, helping her live her best life.

On Friday, June 27, 2025, Steve and Lori’s 32-year wedding anniversary, Steve and Jessica O’Hara lost Lori to her fight with dementia. She would have been 60 years old this September.

Friends and family are putting this GoFundMe together to help Steve O’Hara and daughter Jessica with the medical expenses and funeral costs. With a big smile only Lori can give… Thank you for helping relieve some of the hardship they are feeling during this time.
