Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m raising funds for my dad, Steve Lehmkuhl, and my mom, Melissia Lehmkuhl during an incredibly difficult time. In November 2024, my dad lost his job after almost 30 years, and since then, things have been very challenging. Along with losing his job, he also lost his health insurance, as well as the life insurance he and my mom depended on. My mom is unable to work due to her own health issues, which has made it even harder for our family to stay afloat. Without insurance, my dad avoided going to the doctor because of the cost. As time went on, his health continued to decline. In October 2025, doctors found a kidney stone, and he underwent a procedure to have it removed. However, his stomach pain never went away. In February 2026, we received devastating news — my dad was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He is currently seeing a gastroenterologist for ongoing stomach pain, and doctors believe he may also have a stomach ulcer. He will soon undergo an upper GI procedure to better understand what’s going on and determine the next steps. Anyone who knows my dad knows he has a huge heart. He has always been the kind of person who would help anyone in need, no questions asked. Even after losing his job, he continued working his small business to support him and my mom, despite it not providing insurance.
