On my way to pick up my daughter from school, we were hit by a drunk driver while riding an electric scooter. The accident has left me unable to work for the next couple of months, and the uncertainty of not having insurance means we don’t know if we’ll receive any compensation for our losses. This has put a huge strain on me and my two daughters, as we try to navigate medical appointments and daily life without the security of a steady income.
