Support for Steelmans

On behalf of my dear friend, I am reaching out for support in her time of financial hardship. Andrea Steelman is a very special person with a gigantic heart. Over the years she has volunteered her time and energy feeding so much love in to this community, It would be great if we could find a way to hand some of that back to her in her time of need. With the pandemic, the economy, and our own individual challenges, the last few years haven’t been easy on any of us. For Andrea, some additional challenges have included the loss of her spouse as well as some serious medical complications. With all of this on her plate Andrea has found the home of her and her family facing eminent foreclosure. As the beautiful and generous person Andrea is, she has poured her very large heart in to our community. Over the years some of her involvements have included volunteering with the local fire department and working at head start. She has hosted community Christmas dinners in the county building, Easter basket giveaways for children, and volunteered to DJ school dances as well as for the boys and girls club. She has provided shelter for homeless youth and made birthday cakes for children that would otherwise have gone without. She has handed out hygiene bags to our local homeless population, and housed many stray and abandoned animals. She has handed out toys and stockings for Christmas and helped Santa Jerry deliver toys on Christmas day in the pouring rain while dressed as an elf. More recently she was out at the Halloween celebrations this year at Jubilee Park and the Hanby neighborhood handing out candy and playing music for the crowds with her son. All of this just goes to paint a small picture of what a kind and generous person Andrea is. It breaks my heart to see her and her family in this position and I hope that with the support of our community we can collectively find a way to help her with this burden and hopefully save her family home. It can be hard to reach out and ask for help so I am writing this on her behalf and with her consent.
