On Sunday evening, the Stawny family experienced an unimaginable tragedy at Lake Springfield. Taylor Otto, a devoted mother of three, and her daughters Andrea Stawny and Sofie Stawny lost their lives in a drowning incident. Taylor had resumed using her maiden name following her divorce, while Andrea and Sofie retained the Stawny family name. The loss of Taylor (40), Andrea (19), and Sofie (17) has left the family and community heartbroken, and their absence will be deeply felt by all who knew them.

 This fundraiser was created by Carolynn Bauer, Gilbert Stawny's partner, on behalf of the Stawny family during this incredibly difficult time. The fundraiser is intended to support Gilbert Stawny and his surviving daughter, Aurelie (12), as they navigate the financial and emotional impact of this tragedy.

All funds raised will be used to help cover funeral and memorial expenses for Taylor, Andrea, and Sofie. Donations may also be used to support grief counseling, mental health care, and other related expenses for the surviving family members as they work through the healing process. Any remaining funds, after these immediate needs have been met, will be set aside to support Aurelie's future educational expenses.

 Carolynn is managing the donations on behalf of the Stawny family. Funds will be provided directly to Gilbert Stawny and used for the purposes described above.
