We’re putting this together to help support Stacie’s family as they go through such a heartbreakingly hard time.

Stacie was such an incredible person. She dedicated her life to Early Childhood Education, pouring her heart into caring for children and their families. It was her true calling, but as many know, it isn’t a field that pays very much. She gave so much of herself to others, always putting love and care above anything else. Everyone who knew her felt her warmth, patience, and the joy she carried with her. She touched countless lives and left a lasting impact.

Once Stacie entered hospice care, her partner Terry took a leave of absence from work to be with her. Terry has also delayed a much-needed knee surgery, since she has been carrying the family’s financial responsibilities alone ever since Stacie became unable to work. Our hope is to give Terry a little time to grieve before having to return to work, and to also allow her time to finally get the surgery she needs without the added financial pressure.

Stacie’s son, Joe, stayed home to care for her full-time once she was unable to care for herself. He put his own life and work on pause to be there for his mom, and it will take some time for him to recover and get back on his feet.
