Support for Spencer: A Fight Against Epilepsy and Illness
Donation protected
My name is Jessica Lutjen, and I am reaching out on behalf of my brother, Spencer Moore. Spencer has been battling epilepsy for years, enduring six major brain surgeries in his fight for a better quality of life.
On Sunday, December 29th, Spencer began experiencing multiple back-to-back seizures and was rushed by ambulance to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee. Compounding his condition, he is currently fighting off the flu, pneumonia, and a severe staph infection. He has been sedated and on a ventilator for life support since that day—now six days and counting.
Tomorrow, right in the middle of the snowstorm, Spencer will be transported by plane back home to KU Medical Center, where he has undergone previous brain surgeries. While we are relieved he will be in familiar and capable hands, he remains unresponsive, and the extent of what is happening inside his brain is still unknown.
We are asking for your prayers, positive thoughts, and any support you can provide during this unimaginably difficult time. Funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation costs, and helping Spencer navigate this challenging journey.
Spencer is a fighter, and we believe in his strength. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. Thank you for standing with us and wishing Spencer a safe journey home.
With love, Jess
