Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting my mother Suzanne can agree she truly is one in a million. She has continuously led her life in a selfless manner, sprinkling kindness everywhere she goes. Her whole being revolves around helping others, whether its me and my 3 siblings, or the students and staff at Patwin Elementary. So upon receiving the shocking diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer, you can imagine how many lives it shook, not to mention her own. Though my mom persevered and moved forward with optomism and poise, as she does in all aspects life. Chemo soon began.
While it was painful I did not see her waiver. She was fearless. She was resilient. She was incredible. Chemo was conquered, yet my mother wasn't. We still had an uphill battle with surgery and radiation in our foreseeble future. Still reality struck upon receiving the medical bills. And they pilled rapidly. No chemo prep class could prepare us for that obstacle.
With growing bills and anxiety, I have resorted to this forum to appeal to your generosity. The outpour of love and support have been humbling through this hard time, and we hate to ask more of our friends and family, but anything helps.
I'd like to offer my deepest appreciation to you for taking the time to listen to my mothers story. For those who have helped already, your compassion is overwhelming and we thank you for reminding us that life is so precious in this trying time.
Moving forward, Soos intends to continue fighting this battle with a smile on her face and love in her heart. As for the rest of us, we will follow suit. Thank you again for your continuing support.
Sincerely,
Kyla
