আমরা গভীর শোকের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে সোহেল আহমেদ, আটলান্টার একজন প্রিয় বাসিন্দা ও বাংলাদেশি কমিউনিটির এক নিবেদিতপ্রাণ সদস্য, আজ আমাদের মাঝে আর নেই। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন।

তিনি ছিলেন অসাধারণ প্রতিভাবান, নীতিবান, এবং একজন সৃজনশীল শিল্পী ও ডিজাইনার। তিনি আটলান্টার প্রথম নিয়মিত বাংলা ম্যাগাজিন "প্রিয় বাংলা"-র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সম্পাদক ছিলেন এবং বাংলা সংস্কৃতিকে লালন ও প্রচারে ছিলেন অগ্রগামী।

তিনি রেখে গেছেন তাঁর স্ত্রী এবং একমাত্র কন্যাকে।

এই গভীর দুঃসময়ে, তাঁর পরিবারের পাশে দাঁড়ানোর জন্য আমরা আপনাদের কাছে সাহায্যের আবেদন জানাচ্ছি। আপনার ছোট বা বড় যেকোনো অনুদান তাদের এই কঠিন সময়ে কিছুটা স্বস্তি এনে দিতে পারে। এই তহবিলটি সরাসরি তাঁর পরিবারের কাছে পৌঁছে যাবে।

In Loving Memory of Sohel Ahmed

It is with deep sorrow we share the news that Sohel Ahmed, a longtime resident of Atlanta, has passed away this afternoon. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

Sohel Ahmed was an extraordinarily talented individual — a man of principle, a creative graphic designer, a gifted artist, and a kind-hearted soul who always extended his hand to help others. He was a strong supporter of our community and played a significant role in promoting Bengali cultural heritage and various activities in Atlanta.

He was the founding editor of Prio Bangla, the first regular Bengali magazine in Atlanta — a contribution that will always be remembered and cherished.

He leaves behind his loving wife and only daughter.

In this difficult time, Bangladesh Association of Georgia (BAG) has taken the initiative to raise funds in support of his family. Let us come together as a community to honor his legacy and support those he loved most.

May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give strength to his family.
