Slow Pitch Softball!!!!
Please take a minute and re-read those words! My husband has been an active player of this sport for over 30 years! Saturday July 5, 2025 while playing in a tournament at State College he was injured from a line drive ball to him on the mound. A pitcher on the mound is a human being! He is someone’s son, someone’s husband, someone’s brother, someone’s dad and most of all he is a human being! Why does a batter feel the need to hit a line drive ball directly to the pitcher at such force and speed, especially in a sport called “SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL”? My husband has had to undergo surgery and will be out of work for minimum of six weeks! Six weeks of not being able to support his family due to a sport he played for FUN! Please if you can spare any we greatly appreciate it! Anyone who knows my husband knows he never wants to ask for help with a chore let alone God forbid ask for help financially! Not only will he be missing work, we now have the medical expenses of the hospitals and surgery to pay for. We Thank you for donation! As a wife of a softball player, please take a new look when you approach the field of your opponents and realize they are all human beings and all have families as well! Please think about how you play the sport, how your plays and actions on the field have consequences to others! Thank you for taking the time to read! ❤️
