Support for Sophia O’Nolan and Her Family
I am Sally Sparks, a Pre-K teacher at Melissa Ridge Education Center in Melissa ISD. I am reaching out to support my dear friend and colleague, Natalia O’Nolan, and her 5-year-old daughter, Sofi, who are facing significant challenges following a recent car accident.
The Incident
On this past Friday, March 14th, Natalia was en route to a doctor’s appointment with Sofi when a momentary distraction led to a collision with a large pole. Natalia’s quick thinking prevented harm to other drivers, but she sustained a broken wrist and extensive bruising. Sofi suffered a perforated bowel and a fractured L2 vertebra, necessitating immediate surgery and ongoing hospitalization.
Current Situation
Sofi remains hospitalized at Children’s Hospital, facing a lengthy recovery. Natalia is expected to take time off work to care for Sofi, and her own recovery from the wrist injury will further limit her ability to work. The family also faces the loss of their vehicle and mounting medical expenses.
How You Can Help
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to alleviate the financial burdens Natalia and Sofi are experiencing. These funds will assist with medical bills, home care assistance, and other essential expenses during this challenging time.
About Natalia
Natalia is a dedicated art teacher and special education educator who has served the Melissa community for years. She has impacted hundreds of children through her passion for teaching.
Join Us in Supporting Natalia and Her Family
Now, it’s our turn to help a Nati care for her own child, just as she has helped care for so many of our community’s children. Your generous contributions will provide much-needed financial relief and show our community’s strength and compassion.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
