With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of the beloved Mike “Skippy” Thurman. Skippy was deeply loved by so many, and his loss has left a profound emptiness in the lives of those who knew him. The world feels a little quieter without his presence, and many lives will never be the same.

Skippy was known for his love of fishing and hunting, his years spent driving truck, and—above all—his deep devotion to his grandkids. They were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in being their Papa. Whether he was out on the water, on the road, or spending time with family, Skippy lived life with a generous heart.

One of his greatest qualities was his willingness to help others. It didn’t matter if you were a lifelong friend or a complete stranger—if you needed a hand, he was there. His kindness, work ethic, and big heart touched more people than he probably ever realized.
