Support for Skip

This Fundraiser is to support Galon “Skip” Barlow. Skip is a lifelong Bourne resident and active member of the local community as well as a historian, published author & lecturer. Skip has given so much of his time to the Town of Bourne – serving on many different Boards & Committees and giving generously to the local non-profit organizations of his time, skill and money in the past.

Skip very notably served four years as the President of the Bourne Historical Society and most recently was acting as the Society’s Buildings & Grounds chairman. Unfortunately, while volunteering at Aptucxet, Skip fell while repairing the Pavilion roof and was seriously injured. He has been hospitalized and healing from those injuries since October 29, 2021 – it has been a long and painful process that is taking a toll on his whole family. All of us who know and love Skip know that he is always the first person you could count on to help out any time you were in a tight spot. Now Skip needs our help.

Skip is completely dedicated to his family – and large extended family – and his family very much misses his vibrant presence in their lives. Please give to this fundraiser to assist Skip’s family in covering his considerable medical expenses and preparing his home for his hoped-for future return.
