Support for Skarda Family
Donation protected
On November 19, Michael Skarda tragically passed away after finishing his shift at the Silverton Emergency Department. Michael was not just a dedicated nurse who served countless patients across the Pacific Northwest, but a kind, compassionate, and loving husband and father. His passing has left an unimaginable hole in the lives of his wife, Lauren, and their young son, Kavin.
As the primary financial provider for his family, Michael's loss is not only an emotional devastation but also a financial hardship. Lauren, who is taking time off work to grieve and adjust to life without Michael, needs support to cover month-to-month expenses, including basic bills, and funeral costs.
Michael touched the lives of many during his years with Samaritan as both a CNA and RN. Later, Michael worked as an agency RN and worked in various Emergency Departments across the PNW, caring for patients where his skills were needed most. But, more than that, Michael was known for his infectious smile, his kindness, and his ability to brighten anyone's day, no matter the circumstance. His loss is deeply felt by his colleagues, friends, and especially his family.
We are seeking to help ease some of the financial burden for Lauren while she and Kavin navigate this heartbreaking new chapter. Your kindness will not only provide immediate relief but also offer some peace of mind as they begin to heal.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and compassion during this time of sorrow.
