Hi my name's Alishia and I am fundraising to help my mom.

Earlier this month my mom had a mini stroke while at work. We didn’t find out until a week later because she thought her symptoms were related to stress and usual tiredness - it happened so fast! She wasn’t feeling well and saw two Doctor’s where she was diagnosed with having a mini stroke. It was a complete shock to us, but especially for her.

If you’ve met my mom she’s one of the sweetest people ever, she shines bright! Over the last few months that light has dimmed, her health and medical problems have increased causing her to miss work.

Since we found out about her medical condition we have been waiting to see a neurologist. She’s been unable to work and that’s why I’m launching this GoFundMe to help her pay for our rent and other expenses.

My mom only works part time and doesn’t have any PTO making the situation even more stressing for both of us, but especially her.

To give you an update, my mom is OK! She has been experiencing numbness and weakness in her body and some trouble with memory.

She’s had setbacks before and I want to be positive she’ll get through this, she’s a fighter!
