Support for Sister's Colon Cancer Battle

On Sunday, November 17th, my sister was rushed to Memorial ER with excruciating abdominal and chest pains. An EKG showed her heart was OK, but a CT scan was concerning. The doctor returned with a completely unexpected diagnosis: colon cancer.

She is awaiting the results of a surgical biopsy on her colon, liver, lymph nodes, and lungs. In the meantime, she's also battling a blood infection. She's on constant medications, trying to get her body ready for the next plan of action: chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, and a new chapter of her life.

There is a long battle ahead and a great financial need to cover medical bills and living expenses. She does not have medical or life insurance, has a child who depends on her, and will not be able to return to work.
