Support for Sister & Husband During Shutdown

Donation protected
My sister and her husband are two of the most hardworking people I know, and right now they’re facing an incredibly tough situation because of the government shutdown. My sister has battled many health issues, including a recent kidney transplant that requires ongoing medication she simply can’t afford on her own. She’s unable to work, and her husband, who is a TSA agent and also does traffic details to supplement their income, currently has no money coming into their household. They were denied SNAP benefits, and my sister is waiting for SSDI, which could take up to three more months to come through.

The funds we collect will help them cover medical expenses, food, utilities, and basic needs until the government pays TSA agents again or her husband can find another job. Both of them are in their 60s and have health conditions that need ongoing care, so it’s crucial they at least have access to medical treatment and food during this time. My family is doing everything we can to help, but your support will truly get them through the next couple of months.

Many people are experiencing challenges right now, and we are so grateful for the kindness of our community. My sister and her husband also feel deeply for others who are in the same situation. Thank you so very much in advance for any help you can give. I know it takes a village, and you are my village.
