My sister is a 27-year-old single mom of three amazing kids (ages 2, 6, and 9). Over the past 2.5 years, she has faced more medical challenges than anyone should have to endure. After having her large intestines and gallbladder removed, she has struggled with constant blockages and pain. Just this past week, she suffered a complete bowel obstruction and had to undergo another major surgery. She was supposed to be home this Monday, but complications have kept her in the hospital. She now has a blood clot in her lung and another blockage, and doctors have inserted an NG tube to help drain fluids. We don’t know when she’ll be able to come home or if she’ll need another surgery.

Because of all this, she isn’t able to work and will be out for at least six weeks. Despite everything, she’s still trying to keep life as normal as possible for her kids. But the bills, daycare costs, and rent don’t stop, and the holidays are especially hard. I’m setting up this fundraiser to help ease her worries so she can focus on healing and being there for her children.
