Support for Single Mom with Special Needs Child

My name ia Alice Benjo, a very dedicated single mom of 2 boys, one of whom is 16-year-old son, Darius, who has special needs. I have been out of work since October 2023, following a fall at my home , whereby I broke my knee cap. I was transported to the hospital and had to have knee surgery and was recommended for physical therapy at a rehab center. Since I could not leave Darius uncared for, I had no choice but to come home and do outpatient physical therapy which took longer.

Financially, I have been struggling to make ends meet. I am behind on my rent and other regular bills and everyday expenses, being the sole provider. I have been depending on well-wishers and neighbors to help me with transportation to and from my appointments and also qith Darius' care and Doctors appointments and therapies.

Before I fell, I was and have always been a very kind and helpful friend and neighbor. In return, I appeal to you well-wishers and frienda to help me get back on my feet and continue to provide the best possible care for Darius, his brother and myself.

Contributions will go directly towards:

* Rent and household expenses

* Darius' special needs and gas for my older son, Alistair, to go to school and do groceries.

NEW UPDATE:

* Since May 2024, I completed 6 rounds of chimo and 30 rounds of radiation. That treatment ended in December, 2024. I went for a Pet scan follow-up appointment hoping for good news, unfortunately it wasn't. The Dr found out that I have a new growth in my neck's lymph nodes which looks cancerous. I now have to again start the rigorous treatment of 20 rounds of radiation, and 4 rounds of chemo which is due to start on February 3rd, 2025.

I again have found myself in this difficult position and thank you in advance for your continued financial and emotional support for me and my boys during this challenging time. Your generosity will make a huge difference in our lives!
