On February 7th, I lost my job. As a single mom, I am the sole provider for my 3-year-old son. His father passed away when he was just 2 months old, so it’s always been just the two of us. I’ve worked hard to provide for him and keep our lives stable, but everything changed suddenly.
On February 11th, while on my way to a job interview, I was in a serious car accident. I was life flighted to the hospital where I learned that my pelvic bones near the bottom of my spine were broken, along with six rib fractures. I am so grateful to be alive and to still be able to see my son and family by the grace of God. However, I now face a long road to recovery, including physical therapy and learning how to walk again. I won’t be able to work for at least a month, maybe longer, and I have no way to pay for daycare or our basic bills during this time.
My family is helping get my son to and from school, but they can’t help with my bills, and I no longer have a car to get around. I am on school leave and can’t work until my doctor releases me. Anything you can give would help us so much. It’s very hard for me to ask for help—I’ve always been an independent mother—but right now, my son and I need support. Please keep us in your prayers, and thank you for any help you can give.
