Support for Single Dad's Recovery and Relocation

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at approximately 8:10 am my son a single parent was targeted by an unknown assailant wearing a mask as he was walking to a local coffee shop downtown in Lodi after dropping his 6-year-old off to school.

The situation escalated quickly, and my son was shot multiple times sustaining life-threatening injuries to his upper extremities (ribs, spine, left arm, back and heart) leaving the bullets in vital places that are not operable at this time due to the high risk of death or permanent injury. Due to the nature of the violent crime my son will be needing lots of support for the months to come which includes relocation immediately for safety of himself and his 6-year-old son, therapy (physical and mental) and financial support to continue to take care of his son adequately.

My son is a single father and currently a full-time student at Delta College pursuing his Associates in Business Administration and he doesn't have a criminal background. In the process of building a better life for him and his son, he relocated to Lodi in August 2024, for better schools. He has sole financial responsibility for his son and has been for the last 3 years and all he wants to do is be a good dad and provide the best opportunities possible for his son but not in his current state. Due to this unforeseen act of violence, he will be unable to work or attend school until there is almost a full recovery putting his goals on pause to focusing on his mental and physical strength and recovery putting the sole financial responsibility on his family.

We are asking for any support you can give or offer, whether it be referrals for therapy services, legal assistance, information on relocation and housing assistance. All donations will go to supporting him and his son, with travel expenses, doctors' visits, housing cost and other needs.
