Family and Friends,

“This too shall pass” was Tom Knapp’s daily mantra. To his wife, son, daughter and dog, Tom was a man they could depend on. He would help anyone who needed it, never complained, and never said a bad word about anyone. Last year when the lockdown hit, Tom’s wife Simone lost her job and he became the sole provider. He met this challenge with love, compassion, kindness and a strong sense of duty and responsibility. Things were going to be tight, but they were also going to be okay.

This was the year to get back on track. Simone’s work finally picked up, and Tom was back to enjoying golf, learning guitar, and making plans with the family.

Then he got sick. It happened so fast. No one ever imagined that this vibrant 51- year old would walk out the door of their house for the last time, never to hold his wife, laugh with his children or hang with his dog ever again. Tom wasn’t ready to give up on life and he fought till the end.

The positive thoughts and prayers were not enough. Simone was allowed one short visit Sunday morning, and then the call came that night. Tom had passed away from Covid-19.

The suddenness of Tom’s passing has left a huge gap for his family, both emotionally, and financially. There will be a struggle to keep things together. Please donate, in whatever amount you can, to help ease the burden for Simone and her family. If you have been touched by Tom Knapp’s kind spirit, this would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful man who left us too soon.
