After having three healthy babies, my fourth baby, Silas, was born with a rare condition called left sided CDH. This means there is a hole in his diaphragm, allowing his intestines and organs to rise up into his chest. Silas was born on March 24th at 38 weeks and, in just a week's time, has already undergone three surgeries. I have been in Cincinnati since March 14th, away from home and my other children, while Silas receives the care he needs.
As a full-time working mom and the sole provider for my kids, not knowing when we will be able to return home has been incredibly stressful. The uncertainty makes it difficult not to worry about the bills piling up back home. With Silas’s condition, it will also be challenging to find a care provider when I am able to return to work. The funds raised will go directly toward covering our bills and the costs of transporting to and from Cincinnati, especially since my other children come to visit on weekends.
I am so appreciative of all the prayers and encouraging words we have received. Any support is greatly appreciated during this very straining and difficult time for us. Thank you for considering helping our family as we navigate this journey with Silas.
