Sikander Samuel, age 50, passed away on January 12, 2026, at Albany Medical Center after sustaining critical injuries in a tragic workplace accident. Born on January 1, 1976, to Samuel Ilyas and Rani Samuel, he grew up in Lahore, Pakistan, where he attended Laal School and displayed curiosity, intelligence, and resilience from a young age. He married the love of his life, Ghazala Sikander, on December 14, 1997, and together they built a life rooted in love, perseverance, and devotion to their three children, David, Daniel, and Nida. Sikander’s professional journey spanned photography, business ownership, accounting, and entrepreneurship across Pakistan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and ultimately the United States, where he worked tirelessly in pursuit of the American dream to give his children a better future.
On January 11, 2026, Sikander was working at Valvoline in Halfmoon, New York, when a devastating accident occurred. While vehicles were lined up to enter the service bay, one vehicle accelerated unexpectedly, pinning Sikander between two cars and causing a chain-reaction crash that forced vehicles through both the rear and front glass garage doors. Sikander was rushed to Albany Medical Center, where he bravely fought for his life before passing away from his injuries the following day. Known as a true “Har Fun Mola,” Sikander was fearless in learning, endlessly resourceful, and deeply kind-hearted. His home was filled with warmth through his cooking, laughter, Punjabi dancing, playful cricket games, and ever-present smile. He treated everyone with respect, held no grudges, and left a lasting impression on all who met him.
Though Sikander is no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on through the love he gave and the values he instilled in his family. His extended family resides abroad and hopes to travel to the United States to visit him and pay their final tribute. During this time of profound loss, any support offered is a reflection of the kindness Sikander shared throughout his life, a way to honor a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man whose strength, joy, and sacrifices will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
