In Memory of Shyamananda Prabhuji (Sri Ravishankar Udayyar )
I am writing to you with a heavy heart. On December 15, 2025, my beloved husband, Shyamananda Prabhuji (Sri Ravishankar Udayyar), suddenly left this world due to a massive heart attack. For decades, he selflessly served as a pandit (priest) at the ISKCON temple here in Denver Colorado, touching countless lives with his deep devotion, melodious kirtans, and unwavering commitment to Sri Krishna’s mission. Many of you knew him personally, he was the gentle soul who performed prayers, guided your spiritual journeys, and offered wisdom with a warm smile. His life was truly dedicated to the service of Lord Krishna.
He is survived by our two sons, Shree Haricharan Udayyar and Shree Krishnacharan Udayyar, both currently pursuing their college studies/searching for career opportunities. In this moment of profound grief, we are faced not only with emotional loss but also with unexpected financial challenges. The sudden nature of his departure has left us unprepared for the expense of his final rites and rituals, which we wish to perform with the full dignity and tradition he deserved as a devotee of Lord Krishna. Additionally, supporting our family and ensuring our son can continue their education without interruption has become a pressing concern.
I humbly request your kind support through a fundraiser we have started in his memory. Every contribution, no matter how modest, will help us.
Thank you, Jayalaxmi Ravishankar.
