If you know her, no doubt you love her. Shukuru, Suzanne, Sanders fills the role of mother, Auntie, friend, confident, health care provider, inspiration, and activist to so many. If she’s ever seen you in need she’s done her best to give you what help she can. Well now, we’re asking for help on her behalf.
Recently, Shukuru realized that the toll on her health was so great, that she needed open heart surgery to replace a critical heart valve, if she was going to continue to do all the great work in this world she has to do.
While she has the support of many people around, such operations are not inexpensive. Neither is the recovery time or services that she’ll need to get better. So now we’re asking friends, family, nieces, and nephews, family of the blood and family of the heart near and far, to give whatever you can to help support Sister Shukuru in her time of need.
ALL FUNDS (Other than the fees for this site) WILL GO DIRECTLY TO HELPING SHUKURU THROUGH THIS TRYING TIME.
If you’ve ever wondered what you could do to give back to this woman who has given so much to the world, now is your chance. No offering is too small or too large, and all will be received with humble gratitude and appreciation.
Once she is home, Shukuru will need diabetic friendly meals as well as home cleaning support. She will not be able to do these things for herself, despite her desperate desire to be self-sufficient
