Hi everyone,
This past week has been one of the hardest of our lives. Our sweet boy Shiloh, a 3-year-old pitbull, suddenly started having multiple seizures. Just days before, he was his normal, happy self.
We rushed him to the emergency vet where they worked to stabilize him and started seizure medications to try to get them under control. Even though his bloodwork and levels came back normal, the medications weren’t able to stop the seizures. The vets ultimately determined it was likely something neurological in his brain causing them.
After 12 seizures, Shiloh also lost his vision. Seeing him so scared and disoriented was heartbreaking. After hours of emergency care and repeated seizures, we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let him go so he wouldn’t have to keep suffering.
Shiloh was more than just a dog—he was our best friend, our comfort, and such a huge part of our lives. Anyone who met him knew how loving and protective he was.
The emergency vet visits, testing, medications, and overnight care added up very quickly and were completely unexpected. We’re starting this fundraiser to help cover the costs from the care we tried to give Shiloh in his final hours.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would mean so much to us. Thank you for helping us honor Shiloh and the love he brought into our lives.
