Support for Sheryl and her Family

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are reaching out as colleagues and friends of Sheryl Ferguson to share her story and invite you to help support her and her family during this challenging time.

Sheryl, a beloved educator in our community, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This discovery came after she noticed concerning changes and sought medical attention, leading to the diagnosis of cancer in her right breast and one lymph node. She is currently undergoing additional tests and scans to ensure the cancer has not spread, and her medical team is optimistic. If the scans confirm this, Sheryl will soon begin chemotherapy to start her treatment.

Sheryl and her husband, Travis, are incredible members of our community. Both are dedicated educators, touching the lives of countless students and families through their work. Their youngest child still attends public school, and their daughter is a student at Kansas State University, where she is actively involved in her sorority. Their oldest is out in the workforce, making his way in the world while keeping his parents in line at home. Beyond the classroom, Sheryl and Travis are active in their church and have built deep connections with friends and neighbors who care about them deeply.

While Sheryl and Travis are facing this journey with hope and determination, we know many of you have expressed a desire to show your support.
