Expressing what this fundraiser means to me ( Sherry ) goes beyond words. The donations, the prayers and the positive vibes is unexplainable when you find yourself in a situation but can't think of even a way to transition to pay for immediate needs before

I have surgery in less than two weeks.

With the generosity of family, friends and some I may not know~

The gratitude I have in my heart is enormous. I was able to pay my electric bill, put gas in my car, car insurance and buy much needed essentials. I could not have managed this alone.

I go for my PET SCAN at the end of the week, prayers please.

I met Sherry in 2nd grade, and we have remained close friends throughout our lives. Over the past two years, Sherry has faced unimaginable loss, beginning with the unexpected passing of her older sister in February 2022. Just two months later, her father passed away, and in April 2024, she lost her mother as well. Sherry was the primary caregiver for her parents during their final years, putting her own life and career on hold to support them. This meant she lost her full-time job in Fairmont, WV, and the household income that came with it.

Recently, while undergoing an elective procedure, Sherry received a devastating diagnosis: a terminal ileum neuroendocrine tumor, which is cancerous. She now faces a major surgery to remove sections of her small and large intestines, requiring a hospital stay of up to a week, likely including time in the ICU. The emotional and financial toll of these back-to-back hardships has been overwhelming for Sherry, who is still grieving the loss of her family while now facing a serious health battle of her own.

The funds raised will help Sherry cover essential expenses during this difficult time, including transportation to and from pre- and post-op appointments, utility bills, medical bills, co-pays for medication and unforeseen healthcare, car and home insurance, house payments, phone bills, toiletries, and the minimal amount needed for everyday living.
