Hello, friends, family, and kind strangers,
My name is Sherri, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my husband, our son, and myself during what has been the most challenging period of our lives. We're a close family who has always worked hard to support each other, but a string of devastating events has left us in urgent need of help to keep our heads above water.
It started with a series of life-altering accidents that turned our world upside down. These incidents not only caused physical and emotional trauma but also led to mounting medical bills and lost income. To make matters worse, one of us received a cancer diagnosis. Amid all this, job loss hit us hard, eliminating our steady income at a time when we needed it most.
We've done everything we can to stay afloat. We sold our house and used every penny from the proceeds to cover essentials, medical costs, and daily living. Now, we're living in an RV as a temporary solution, but even that is at risk. It's in default, and we're facing a court date that could leave us without shelter. We've applied for assistance programs, cut back on every expense imaginable, and leaned on whatever support we could find, but it's simply not enough. We're at a breaking point, and without immediate help, we risk losing the little stability we have left.
That's why we're turning to this community with hope in our hearts. We're aiming to raise at least $26,000 to cover critical needs: catching up on the RV payments to avoid eviction, essential medical, basic living expenses like food and utilities while we rebuild our income, and emergency funds to help us transition to more secure housing. Every dollar will go straight toward these priorities to give us a fighting chance to recover and get back on our feet.
If you've ever faced hardship, you know how overwhelming it can feel, but also how a little kindness from others can make all the difference. No amount is too small; your donation could help us through another day. If you can't contribute financially, please share our story with your network; it could reach someone who can.
From the depths of our gratitude, thank you for reading our story and for any support you can offer. Your generosity means more than words can express and gives us the strength to keep going for our family.
With hope and appreciation,
Sherri
