Support for Sherri and Roger Roscoe

After prayful consideration and many discussions we have decided to reach out on behalf of our family and request assistance at this time.
Sherri underwent scheduled Mitral Valve Replacement surgery on Jan 9th. The plan was for her to be off the ventilator within 4 hours after surgery and up and walking within 24 hours but today is day 12 and she is still very critically ill and still on the ventilator. Sherri struggles with previously damaged lungs making it difficult to get enough oxygen. Her heart is more damaged than they had realized as a result of the faulty mitral valve for so long. She currently is pretty sedated and is recieving dyalisis because her kidneys could not keep up with all the liquid they are putting in and started to fail and her body started filling with fluids.
Things obviously did not go as WE planned.
Sherri is currently in the CICU at Austin Heart Hospital, we believe she has a very good team working and fighting for her. The plan was for Roger to stay through that first weekend and then get back to work while Sherri recovered. At this point it is still essential that he be near the hospital. He is signing consent forms daily and the situation changes often. The hospital is almost 2 hours from their home in Fredericksburg. (That's with no traffic and let's face it we're talking about Austin when is there not traffic?)
This has created a financial burden they were unfortunately not prepared for even with them planning for her to be off for a few months after surgery. With the additional loss of Roger's wages and the added expense of a hotel and food every day it has started to become too much.
Roger told me today, he didn't know how he was going to do it but he knew he couldn't leave her. Well, my hope is that we can all help him do that.
He and Pam have been there round the clock but with the gazillion machines in her room there is hardly room for a few people to stand, there is no way anyone could stay there to sleep.
We are seeking help for the hotel stays and food while in Austin for the time. We have no idea of a time line as we are way off the charted path and known there is just no answer to that right now.
Any thing above those expenses will be used fully to help supplement Roger's lost wages.
