I recently had a miscarriage at 16 weeks pregnant. I had to undergo full labor to give birth to our son without a heartbeat. The feeling of giving birth to my son who I knew wasn’t going to be coming home with us was the most challenging part of this process. Waking up every day to this reality leaves us with a huge sense of loss and defeat. We have put all our hope and faith in Jesus to get us through this together. My fiancé Tyler and I were so excited about the birth and future of our son, Carter Michael Rolchigo. This was a super unexpected turn of events that has left us devastated and heartbroken. We had been looking forward to welcoming Carter into our family, and the loss has been incredibly difficult for both of us.
As we process this grief, we are going to be taking time off from work to heal and support each other. I won't be physically able to work for about a month, and Tyler will also need time to grieve. The stress of making sure our bills are paid during this time can make the healing process even harder. We want to focus on our emotional recovery and seek counseling to help us through this unimaginable loss.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to help. Any financial support will go directly toward our living expenses and counseling as we take the time we need to grieve and heal. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us during this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering helping us get through this horrific event.
God bless
