Background of the Diagnosis:

In October 2025, at the age of thirty-one, Shaykila Ceaser was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer, presenting a significant challenge in her life. As a dedicated mother to three children - Ayden Ceaser (14), Tyus Jones (4), and Makaelah Jones (1) - Shaykila’s journey has been marked by the difficulties of chemotherapy, neuropathy, mobility issues, bone pain, and skin problems. Despite these challenges, she has found comfort in the unwavering support of her mother, father, stepmother, sisters, and extended family.

Upcoming Procedure:

After 5 rounds of chemotherapy, Shaykila is scheduled for surgery to remove the cancerous tumor in Oklahoma City on February 27, requiring her to travel from Fort Smith, Arkansas, and undergo a hospital stay of 3 to 7 days. The complexity of the procedure will necessitate a recovery period of 4 to 6 weeks before she can return to work.

The Need:

This temporary absence from work will lead to a loss of income, prompting us to reach out to family and friends for assistance in easing the financial strain during her recovery. Our fundraising target is $3,000, and we are optimistic that, with your support, we can reach this goal to provide aid to Shaykila during this challenging period.
