Hello, friends and family,

We hope that this message finds you well. As many of you know, Shawn is facing a challenging time in his life, and we are seeking your support and generosity to help him on his journey to recovery.

In September 2023, Shawn was diagnosed with bleeding in his small bowel and liver cancer. Both of which we have been told are difficult to resolve due to the location and severity of the conditions. Treatment will require the best specialists that medicine has to offer. What we believed and hoped was simply exhaustion or a stomach bug has instead turned his world upside down.

We are blessed to share that he was released from the hospital and able to travel home to Oklahoma to seek the specialty treatments required for these conditions. He is resting at home and hopeful for the next steps in treatment.

Sadly, all treatment up to this point was done without medical insurance and at a great expense, from emergency room care in Carlsbad, NM, to ICU treatment in El Paso, the many diagnostic tests, medications, and professionals who consulted on his case.

We have started this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to support Shawn during this challenging time. The money raised will go towards covering the mounting medical bills, ongoing treatments, and necessary medications, as well as assisting with everyday living costs while he is unable to work.
