Hello everyone-- my name is Mariya. I am writing on behalf of my family. We are a family of 6 from Sharon, MA that recently had a devastating house fire. Due to incredibly high winds and a power outage, our fireplace blew embers into our attic and the roof was completely engulfed in flames by 9pm last Monday and ended being a 2-alarm fire. The fire was under control after 3 hours of work by the amazing Sharon Fire Department and surrounding towns.

My parents, Oksana and Alex, and two younger siblings, AJ who is 10 years old and Yeva who is 8, have been displaced and left with only the clothes they were wearing. It has been a long and stressful week trying to find stability in this very fragile time. While we slowly try and rebuild our lives, there have been a lot of unexpected costs of housing, clothing, toiletries, and many other essentials that were lost in the fire.

We are looking to find more stable housing for all four family members. This has been an additional cost and stress, and we are looking for any support we can get. While money cannot replace all that was lost in the fire, it helps provide stability and relief to the additional pressures we are under.
