Hi, our names are Patty and Caden and these people are not just our friends but more like family.
As you are aware our recent rain storms have caused terrible flooding and unfortunately the house they have been renting has flooded. They were evacuated by boat along with their two cats.
They have been through quite a bit the past little while and this added stress has been devastating. I’m sure we all know how hard life can be at times and something like this no one should go through.
A lot of you in this community know this family and know how they have fundraised, volunteered and contributed for endless events and have given so many hours of their time to others selflessly. Your kids have played sports or went to school with Mack. These are the people that will literally drop everything to be of help in anyway possible.
The thought of having to replace everything and start over is heartbreaking and some things you can’t replace. This is an overwhelming financial shock that is unimaginable
Sharmaen thought she could save a few things by putting them high up but the reality is the contaminants and destruction of the water damage is really not safe. Sharmaen’s pride almost got in the way, she’s on the other side of things now, she needs the help and is struggling with that. This happened so fast.
This is a tough time right now and we thought we could help them with what they have just endured, to help unload just a bit of that stress of having to move forward. We are hoping our community and others can pull together and help with whatever they need as they have done for countless others
I’ve attached the news article they are in and the fundraiser for Melanie their roommate who is in a wheelchair that has been started by her dad
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated
Thank you for your time
